ECG - Electrocardiography

The electrocardiogram, commonly known as ECG is used to diagnose the functioning of the heart by assessing its electrical activity. Electrodes are set on the skin for this test to record the rhythm and rate of the heartbeat which is later interpreted by the physician.

ECG test helps your doctor find out:

  • To know the rhythm of heartbeats
  • To know the rhythm of heartbeats
  • To detect blockages, if any
  • To check the overall functioning of heart muscles
  • To detect blockages, if any
  • To know the blood flow to the ventricles (indirectly)
